  • MIMICS IPF SPECS

While not approved for in-competition use, these plates closely align with the rigorous standards of the IPF. This way, you get the competition-like practice you need to leave it all on the platform.

  • ULTRA-PRECISE PLATES

In the fight for the podium, every pound matters. These calibrated plates are made to an ultra-precise +/-10 grams from each listed weight, so you have no surprises on meet day.

  • MASTER YOUR TECHNIQUE

Lifting with calibrated plates results in less flex in your barbell, making your lifts feel different and sometimes, noticeably harder. Gain the competitive edge by training with them year-round.

Product Details

Wickedly precise and colour-coded, the Calibrated Powerlifting Plates are the perfect training plates for powerlifting.

These babies don't just look amazing, they also closely align with IPF specs and outperform machined iron plates. While they're not IPF-approved, they do check the key boxes: standardized diameters, correct colour-coding, and guaranteed to be within +/-10 grams of the claimed weight.

If you've ever pulled your 1 rep max with iron plates AND with calibrated plates, you know that the two aren't the same. Calibrated plates are thinner and don't extend so far on the sleeves of the bar, so there's less flex in it - making your lifts different and/or noticeably harder. Which is maybe important to know BEFORE you try to hit a personal record on your final pull, ya know? The thing is, they're made in pounds instead of kilograms because, well, #freedomunits. But don't let that rain on your parade, they still make excellent training plates for powerlifting.

IMPORTANT: Not IPF approved. Precision-cut 50.4mm centre hole might not fit out-of-spec Olympic barbells.

    Solid, attractive plates.

So I want to come right off the bat and say 1 of my 6 55lb plates seems to have some kind of paint prep problem. The color is different from the other five, and there is some flaking and..bubbling for lack of a better word? They all have various scuffs here and there from shipping, but I'm not precious about that, and it's really the nature of shipping heavy iron plates in boxes.

The other plates are all beautiful. They will all touch the ground, and I will ruin the very nice finish on them and be happy to do it.

I think expecting total perfection is unreasonable, and I would recommend these to anyone who feels similarly.

    55 LB Calibrated Plates

I bought these plates due to the lack of space on my Safety Squat bar. These plates have worked perfectly and given me the room I need to keep getting the gains I was working for. Worth the price. The only negative was the package. The plates got scratched during shipping.

    Calibrated Metal Plates (lb)

I bought the following metal plates: 4x25 lb, 4x10 lb, 2x5 lb an 2x2.5 lb, to complement the calibrated bumper plate set that I got at the same time. The 25 lb plates are used for everything but come in handy for landmine exercises as the diameter is less than the 25 lb bumpers allowing me a greater range of motion on some exercises.

There has been some chipping of the paint on the plates, but that is to be expected. I have been very happy with the plates and recommend them.
