Presale Tariff Policy
At Bells of Steel, we want to make presales as smooth and transparent as possible. Because international tariff rates can change unexpectedly, we’ve established this policy to ensure fairness for our customers.
1. Presale Pricing
● Presale prices are set based on tariff and duty conditions at the time the presale launches.
● We will always do our best to avoid making any pricing changes after launch. Because tariffs may change, presale prices are subject to adjustment in accordance with this policy. Any adjusted price will remain in effect for a commercially reasonable period following the adjustment, consistent with applicable state consumer protection laws.
2. Tariff-Driven Adjustments
● If our effective tariff rate increases by 30 percentage points or more between the presale launch and the goods clearing customs (based on the declared value of the goods), the presale price per unit will be adjusted upward by the added tariff cost.
● If tariffs decrease by 30 percentage points or more in the same period, the presale price per unit will be adjusted downward by the amount saved.
● Adjustments will be calculated based on the percentage change in the applicable tariff rate, applied to the landed duty cost per unit of goods.
3. Customer Options in the Event of an Increase
● If an increase is required, all presale customers will be notified by email.
● Customers may choose to:
○ Accept the adjusted price and keep their presale order, or
○ Decline the increase and receive a 100% refund plus a $50 discount code for a future order as thanks for their patience.
● If a customer does not respond within 3 weeks of the presale’s ships-by date, we will send a final reminder notice. If no response is received after that reminder, the order will be refunded in full.
4. Automatic Refunds for Decreases
● If tariffs decrease by 30 percentage points or more, we will automatically refund the tariff savings to all customers who pre-ordered the product.
5. Store Credit Terms
● Store credits are valued in USD, valid for 12 months, non-transferable, and not redeemable for cash except where required by law.
6. Compliance Disclaimer
● This policy will be applied to the extent permitted by applicable law in the jurisdiction of the customer’s purchase. Where stricter consumer protection rules apply, Bells of Steel will comply with those requirements.
