The Short Rackable Utility Bar is where portability meets practicality. Whether you're lifting in a broom closet under the stairs (is that you, Harry?) or looking to optimize the usability of your Hydra Trident Station, a short rackable barbell is a saving grace for a space-constrained home gym.
We took our best-selling Utility Barbell and literally trimmed some off the top, while still allowing it to be racked in a power rack up to 49 inches wide.
This means you also get its most beloved features; versatile 28.5mm diameter, dual knurl markings, centre knurl for better grip on squats, and a durable black zinc coating. We even matched the sleeve finish for an all-black look that'll turn heads.
The shorter version is more practical for deadlifts and the Olympic lifts; but with its 900lb capacity and rackable feature, this one takes the cake for squats and bench presses in tight quarters.
IMPORTANT: The Short Rackable Utility Bar is rackable in a power rack up to 49 inches wide, which allows 1.375" of racking space on each side of the bar. For a NON-rackable version, check out the Short Utility Bar.

Started out with the women’s Olympic bar because it’s shorter than the standard bar (and my wife is quite small), but still had to move around the sleeves more than I wanted in the relatively small room my power rack is in (Light Commercial rack).
This bar shaves off a bunch more length, and paired with the calibrated plates, I won’t be maxing out the sleeves anytime soon.
Plus it looks great.
