Grabbed these clamps since I loved my original ones so much. They look improved and hold well but they aren't magnetic on both sides like my last pair, only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. Posted a photo to show the changes in design.

These work well my favorite parts are the magnets because it lets me hang them almost anywhere and the bright orange colour.

I picked these up for my primary bar collars and was drawn to them for the magnetic function. These suckers grip and hold tight. Then you simply pop them onto the uprights and you won’t lose them. I saw reviews mentioning weak magnets, however for me, they will drag a 25lb plate across the sleeve pretty easily. Couldn’t be happier with their slim design.

I finally decided to refresh my gear after years of using the same collars. I needed something slim to prep for a future short-sleeve barbell upgrade (I have low wall space clearance), and these fit the bill perfectly. Compared to my old reliable HG 2.0s, the profile on these is significantly thinner. They work great for benching and curling—definitely a win, especially since I snagged them on sale.

I was gifted some fancy knurled aluminum collars that cost twice as much (another brand), but the magnets were too weak to stick to my rack and the one-handed operation wasn't so one-handed (just spins the sleeve rather than tightening the collar). I returned those and got these Bells of Steel clamps. I almost went for some knock-offs on Amazon because they offered more colors. I thought they might be the same collars coming from the same factory with different branding. Some of the customer review pictures looked a lot like the knock-offs with beveled edges, but the Bells of Steel "product specs" image has a more squared off look. I chose Bells of Steel for the reputation and I'm glad I did. These are considerably smaller than the knock-offs and I'm sure they grip much tighter... almost too tight. I hope they loosen up a little with use. Unlike those fancy knurled collars, the Bells of Steel magnets stick to my rack's glossy finish. The width is roughly half of a traditional clamp style collar (1" vs 2"). Those traditional clamps look thinner from certain perspectives, but when you factor the twist lever, they're closer to 4" wide and the Bells of Steel collar tops out at 3.75" and it's 3.5" or less from other angles. You probably don't NEED these, but once you have them, you won't use any other collars.
