With the SS4 Safety Squat Bar, you'll turn your leg days from lacking to legendary. Barbell back squats are great, but upper-body injuries and immobility can leave you doing diddly-squat for months (or years) until now!
The knurled handles on this safety squat bar are easy to grab and hold, so you can squat with minimal upper-body involvement. Meanwhile, the ergonomically designed pad is comfortable on your shoulders and can be used hands-free - making your squat impediments a thing of the past.
You can obviously use it for safety bar squats, but that's just the start: use it for front squats, Hatfield squats, good mornings, lunges, split squats, JM presses, and more! Combine it with resistance bands, chains, or a plyo-box to create different resistance curves and stimuli.

IMPORTANT: The SS4 is designed to fit perfectly in any Bells of Steel rack. However, it will NOT sit correctly if used in a non-Bells of Steel rack wider than 49" between the outer edge of the j-cups.

The bar is high quality and feels great on the shoulders. I have both the short handles and the longer ones. I prefer the shorter handles myself.
I am someone with a history of herniated discs and am not the most flexible in the angles either due to sports injuries. With normal squat bars it's difficult for me to reach full range but with the SS4 that is no more. I can easily feel the quads engaging each rep especially when my heels are slightly elevated.
Padding is very comfortable even with 315+ lbs on the bar. Wish I would have bought this bar years ago.
I have a regular barbell, a buffalo bar and now the SS4 and I prefer the SS4 over the other two for squats easily.

Gets the job done for an affordable price. I have no issues with the bar. The SS3 was not wide enough for my rack (they call that out but I didn’t pay attention) so I returned it and got the SS4. The return process was easy and fast- customer service was great. Def don’t love made in China, but I love my wallet. Lolol and U.S. brands are literally 3 x as much. Great value. Great pad. Good looking and all that. Great purchase.

Great bar! Padding is comfortable and consistent throughout the pad, and the vinyl feels great and looks great with the branding. The knurled handles are for sure a highlight, they look great and feel great in your hands during use, way better and more premium feel than plastic handles. The rotating sleeves make squats feel a bit better vs fixed sleeves. The sleeves themselves look great, I have not had any significant marking during normal use so far. And the end caps look great! Nice touch adding the bar and handle weights on there. Overall hard to beat, especially for the price. Glad I went with the SS4. Would buy again.

This bar is quite well made. Incredible attention to detail. I'm happy that I passed on other brand safety squat bars as this one is perfect!
