IMPORTANT: For bare steel barbells, we take extra precautions to reduce any oxidation/rusting while in storage and transit by coating the barbell in oil but small rust spots may be visible when you receive it. Clean it with some simple green cleaner and a BBQ brush, then wipe dry with a microfiber cloth. Click here for a how-to video and How To Clean a Bare Steel Barbell.
For cerakote-coated barbells, use Nylon brushes or microfiber towels only! Avoid abrasive metal-to-metal contact from tight-fitting collars, weight plates, un-lined landmine attachments, and j-cups, to preserve that beautiful rust-resistant finish for years to come!

While I don't have any real point of comparison, I love using this bar. The knurling is exceedingly sharp, which is exactly what I wanted. If you're looking for a bar with sharp knurling, that's exactly what you'll get. I'm a big fan of the bare steel look, and overall it feels great.

I really like this bar! Was not expecting the knurling to be this noticeable, Feels really good for squats and pressing. My only other bar is the rouge chan bar which I've had for 10 years and this bells of steel powerlifting bar is the perfect match for that bar. Would definitely recommend to anyone, and you can't beat the price!

I figured it would be more agressive than the knurling on my old bent bar. I also figured "cheese grater" was some nice marketing. I wasn't fully prepared. Pulled 405 with a double overhand grip for the first time. Normally I would switch to hook grip well before the 4th plate. My thumbs are not very happy with me right now, but I will slowly shred them into compliance with this bar. The wide harsh center knurling has kept the bar pinned to my back in the squat and doesn't whip at all with weights that my old bar would already be bending with. Super happy, and I hope plenty of others get the same experience. A+
P.s. I bought an SS3 about 2 years ago and it has also been absolutely incredible. Well done BoS.

It sounds like our cheese grater knurling is living up to its name and giving your grip a serious workout. We’re jazzed to hear it's helping both your deadlifts and squats hit new heights.
