    Highly recommend

I’ve had the cable tower for about 4 months now. It excels at almost everything. I’m very happy with it. The footprint is tiny but it does an incredible amount of exercises.

My back, shoulders, and arms have made gains much faster than using dumbbells.

The are only 2 shortcomings with this cable tower: 1. you can’t do chest flys on this (but you can do reverse flys for rear delta and it’s excellent). 2. It’s not great on its own for lat pull downs.

Showing my lat pull down set up in the picture using my squat rack safety bar to hold my legs down. I got the 90” tall plate loaded version. Don’t think you could do lat pull downs on the 80” without basically sitting on the floor.

Anyway, I’m very happy with it overall. I even upgraded the pulleys to aluminum and love it.

It’s like a mini powerhouse with a tiny footprint, right? Your creative workaround for the lat pulldown setup sounds fantastic, and we’re so glad to hear you’re loving the upgraded aluminum pulleys.

    Great piece of equipment

Only have it about a month but already one of the better investments I've made. Had an issue with cables originally but was sent a new set for free and since has worked flawlessly. Still finding new ways to use it for a variety of excercises.

My best gym purchase for my cramped garage

My main gym resides in my office (thanks to my employer for allowing me to do it there). But I still need a set up at home for when I work from home. Something I can use even during winter in the garage. The solution I found is the BOS plate loaded cable tower. I can bring in the handles inside the house and bring these out when I work out. My garage houses our bikes too so space is really limited. But not a problem with the cable tower. With the various attachments BOS has for it, space is not a problem to vary your workout.

We're thrilled it's added versatility to your workouts, given your setup limitations. Here's to keeping fit and flexible, no matter where you are — while keeping your bikes company, of course! 🚵

    Best bang for the buck!

Really solid piece of equipment. Easy to assemble. Easy to mount to the track (yes, it needs to be mounted to something so it doesn’t fall over on you)

The plate loaded version is so economical that you can afford to add the aluminum pulley upgrade kit. Totally worth the dollars. Plus they send you the pulleys for the cable adjustment mechanism as part of the kit. They don’t really offer any benefit to the function of the tower, BUT, you can order the BoS Cable Pulley (https://bellsofsteel.com/products/cable-pulley) and replace the nylon ones with those 2. Now you have everything you need to make a full functional trainer.

The guys at the shop were great to deal with too.

10 out of 10 for value and quality.

    Great Unit!

This serves my cable needs well and the small footprint is amazing. When I first got it, it didn’t work smoothly but I figured out that I had to grease the guide rails. After that, it is a very smooth machine. I was expecting a quality piece given the reviews online but it was even better than I expected. With the small footprint, you give up some potential cable exercises (like proper cable flies) but that is a trade off I was happy to make. For me, my strength training comes from the barbell so I use this for accessories and rehab. It fits the bill.

Thanks for the awesome review, Justin! Great catch on the guide rail lubrication — it makes all the difference for that smooth operation! It's fantastic that it exceeded your expectations and fits perfectly into your training setup as the ideal accessory and rehab companion to your barbell work.
