"Had a couple shoulder surgeries so a Swiss bar was called for... a great solver of shoulder issues." — Rob, Verified Buyer

The Arch Nemesis is a cambered Swiss bar with a built-in cable attachment hook — one bar that handles pressing, rowing, pulling, AND cable work. Most specialty bars do one thing. This one does four.

  • Shoulder-friendly pressing → 3 neutral grip positions at 15° take your shoulders out of the danger zone — bench and overhead press without the ache. (Your rotator cuffs will thank you.)
  • Deeper ROM, stronger lockout → The cambered arch lets you sink lower than a flat bar, stretching the chest further and shifting more stress to your triceps for serious lockout gains.
  • Built-in cable hook → Skip the extra attachments. The top-frame hook clips directly to any cable machine, turning one bar into a lat pulldown, row, and tricep press attachment.
  • Standard Olympic plates & collars fit → Sleeves are 49.7 mm, so any Olympic collar works. No hunting for axle collars, no surprises.
  • Light enough to move, strong enough to load → At 24 lbs / 10 kg with a 600 lb / 272 kg capacity, it's easy to carry between cable and rack, but won't flinch under real weight.
  • Built to last → Black powder coat finish, laser-cut B.o.S. end caps, coarse knurling, glossy coat, great  rack clearance on 3" × 3" uprights.

Why a Swiss Bar?

Because a straight bar forces your hands into a fixed position — and for a lot of people, that position beats up their shoulders over time.

  • Neutral grip = less stress → Palms facing each other is a more natural pressing position. Less impingement, more reps, longer training career.
  • More range of motion → The arch gets you deeper at the bottom and locks you out harder at the top — the two spots most lifters are weakest.
  • Breaks the monotony → Years of straight-bar bench gets stale. The Arch Nemesis is just different enough to reignite your drive without blowing up your programming.
  • One bar, three stations → Rack it, cable it, row it. The hook means you're not buying a separate cable attachment; it's already there. If your shoulders have been holding your bench back, this is the bar that changes that.

Iffy shoulders? Or great shoulders you'd like to KEEP that way? The straight bar wasn't built for everybody, and after enough pressing sessions, the wear shows up in places your warm-up can't fix.

The Arch Nemesis Swiss Bar is the answer.

THREE angled neutral grips (also known as a football bar or multi-grip bar. Same idea, same shoulder-saving logic). A built-in cable hook that turns one bar into a half-dozen lifts. Cambered design that finds the angle your shoulders actually want (turns out it's not the same angle a flat bar forces on them).

Coarse knurling. Glossy powder coat. Laser-cut end caps. 49.7 mm sleeves that accept any standard Olympic plate and collar. 600 lbs / 272 kg capacity. LIMITED LIFETIME frame warranty.

Swiss bar bench press. Bent-over rows. Overhead press. Tricep work. Hook it to your cable tower for lat pulldowns. Suspension push-ups. Inverted rows. At 24 lbs / 10 kg, it's light enough to clip to a cable — and heavy enough to load hard.

4.7 stars from 200+ lifters. The reviews keep saying the same thing: "this Swiss bar saved my pressing." Combat athletes. Post-surgery lifters. Anyone with cranky shoulders. The arch finds the angle that works.

Pair it with the B.o.S. Belt Squat Machine or the Lat Pulldown / Low Row Machine for the full specialty stack. It will work with any competitors' cable machine that uses a carabiner (traitor). Or just rack it up tomorrow morning and feel the difference on rep one.

IMPORTANT: The sleeves on the Arch Nemesis Bar won't rotate like a barbell sleeve but have a 49.7mm diameter, so Olympic collars will fit correctly. This means axle collars are NOT needed.

Reviews Summary
Customers say this specialty bar offers comfortable pressing options with multiple grip positions. Many reviews mention how it helps reduce shoulder discomfort during bench press movements. The curved design provides an enhanced range of motion and stretch. While some note the mild knurling could be more aggressive, most appreciate the bar's versatility and build quality. The lighter 25-pound weight makes it manageable for different users. Some mention tight clearance when racking, though most find it works well in standard power racks. Reviews highlight its value for home gyms, particularly for those seeking alternative pressing options.

    Really like the updates

I had a V1 of the Arch Nemesis and found myself missing it. Really like the updates with the knurling, updated logo plate, different tubing size and new powder coating.

    Great bar for the price

For the price, this is a great bar. I primarily bought this as a benching bar and for that it does a fantastic job. The bar feels balanced and sturdy and you get a great stretch from the arched design. The bar is lighter than a standard barbell, but I actually don't mind the smaller weight. It makes it easier to move around and can still handle plenty of weight. The sleeves while powdercoated, are very grippy and fit olympic sleeves. If I had to complain, it is very tight in my rack. I have a 47" rack and while it works, there is not much wiggle room. For those with 49" this should not be a problem. I am able to make it work and I believe some wider J cups should alleviate this. Overall though, it is a great bar and I'm glad I got this one over other options.

Solid value. Trade offs are rackability and knurling

Had a couple shoulder surgeries so a Swiss bar was called for. Overall a great value. Picked up on sale so was well under $200 and is a great value. Had issues racking on a monster light rack. It fits but not much room on either side. Solved by placing 5 pound steel weights inside the bigger plates. Had never done that before but it works and is an easy fix since we all already have those. Knurling is very weak. Get yourself some tape. For the price a great solver of shoulder issues.

    Hey Rob,

Thanks for taking the time to share your detailed thoughts on the Arch Nemesis Swiss Bar! We're stoked to hear it's helping you work around those shoulder surgeries - that's exactly what we designed it for. It's awesome that you snagged it during a sale too!

We totally hear you on the rackability with the Monster Light rack and appreciate you sharing that clever weight-spacing solution. That's some serious gym wisdom right there! And thanks for the honest feedback about the knurling - while we went with a milder pattern, we understand some lifters prefer more grip.

It's great to know that despite these trade-offs, you're finding it a solid value for targeting those shoulder-friendly pressing movements.

    Keep crushing those workouts!

    Yours in strength,
    The B.o.S. Crew

    Arch Nemesis

Good. I purchased during a sale. I’m happy with it so far. I connect it to my BOS cable tower w/weight stack and use the seal row pad for chest-supported rows. It helps me get a better contraction at the top. I’m excited to try other movements!
