I wanted a cardio machine that would also build a bit of muscle. This machine has been good for cardio and also targeting the quads.

It has 15 levels of tension. I'm usually using it on level 13-15. I would've liked a bit more difficulty to focus a bit more on muscle. The lowest tensions feel like you're just bouncing.

I haven't used a manual stair stepper, so I can't compare. I got this over the manual stair stepper for price and weight. Overall, it's been a good product.

Assembly instructions: 2/5

Not great instructions. No accompanying video. I would've been lost on how to attach the tension cable if my partner wasn't experienced in bike assembly. If you are at that step, turn the tension knob to make it easier.

The written instructions are confusing. But there are pictures, so that helped. It took us 3+ hours to assemble. We had some difficulty getting the parts lined up and for the screws to easily thread.

Had trouble with delivery. I was called to arrange a time. I called them back the same day during business hours to arrange for a different date where I would have help to move the stepper. They texted back confirming they would move the date. They didn't. The drivers did call an hour before delivery, but their caller ID came up as "Party Rentals". I wasn't expecting that or them, so I didn't answer. No message left. When they showed up, they had already had the product halfway up the driveway before I even answered the door …
