Product Details

The Trap Bar often called a Hex Bar, is one of the best specialty bars for building strength and developing power in the deadlift. Our latest in-house designed model has three core benefits that will make training with your new trap bar a dream.

We firmly believe that if it's a barbell, the sleeves should rotate. Unlike almost any other trap bar on the market, our trap bar features rotating sleeves.

This ingenious design offers several benefits over the traditional, closed-frame design. The most important of these being access to far more movements than before. By opening up the front end of the bar, it is now possible to use your trap bar for split squats, Romanian deadlifts, weighted carries, lunges, and more, while still being perfectly balanced for your deadlifts and shrugs.

To keep the bar more compact for both storage and shipping, the sleeves are a little shorter than full-length barbell sleeves; however, the plate block has been made extra thin, allowing for a full seven B.o.S.45lb machined plates to be loaded on each side. Fit even more calibrated plates with a maximum weight of 700lbs.

    Great versatile bar

    This was a great deal and so much better than a generic trap bar. The knurling is perfect, love the built-in jack. Deadlifts with the bar are great but so are seal rows, farmer walks, and lunges. My only issue was during shipping the box and styrofoam broke and the sleeves got banged up a little bit.

    Space saver

    Love this bar, it's my first. I went with this bar because it has a built in jack and is compact. Working out in my storage shed doesn't leave room for a full 7' straight bar.

    Using it for deadlifts, squats, and Bulgarians. So far so good! And as a red seal welder I can say the welds look decent!

    The knurling is too aggressive for me to use without gloves, but that's not really a negative for me.

    Excellent piece of equipment!!!

    As a personal trainer and small business owner, I absolutely love this piece of equipment. This open trap bar is so well made, so sturdy and most importantly- It arrived with ZERO damage. Anyone who orders gym equipment knows how poorly it can be packed. This was a study box with ample cushion and coverage of the bar. Bells of steel is fantastic with their shipping and overall level of equipment.
